Mitchell defends his MS!
The lab is currently celebrating the success of Mitchell Lannan, who recently defended his thesis on an attract and kill strategy for Japanese beetle management. Mitchell’s work demonstrated that by using pheromones to concentrate beetle populations before insecticide applications, grape growers can reduce their insecticide inputs by 97% while maintaining a similar level of Japanese beetle control. Mitchell has an extremely bright future ahead of him and we can’t wait to see what he does next!
